📖 About the German Alphabet — The German alphabet has 26 letters just like English, plus 3 Umlauts (ä, ö, ü) and the Eszett (ß). German is a phonetic language, meaning words are generally pronounced as they are written. Learning the alphabet and its sounds is essential for proper pronunciation.

💡 Note: The letters ä, ö, ü are called Umlauts and change the sound of the vowel. The ß (Eszett) is used in German and represents a double 's' sound.

📌 Note: The letters Ä, Ö, Ü are called Umlauts. They change the pronunciation of the vowel. The ß (Eszett) is a special letter used in German for the 'ss' sound.

🎯 Pronunciation Tips:

🔵 Umlauts (Ä, Ö, Ü)
Ä is pronounced like the 'e' in "bed". Ö is like the 'i' in "girl" (with rounded lips). Ü is like the 'u' in "rude" but with pursed lips.

🔵 Eszett (ß)
ß represents a sharp 's' sound. It is used after long vowels and diphthongs. It's like a double 's' (ss) in German.

🔵 The German "R"
German 'R' is pronounced in the back of the throat (guttural). It's similar to the French 'R' but softer.

🔵 The German "V" and "W"
In German, 'V' is pronounced like 'F' (Vater = father). 'W' is pronounced like 'V' (Wasser = water).

🔵 The German "Z"
German 'Z' is pronounced like 'ts' (Zebra = tsay-bra). It's never pronounced like the English 'z'.
